Ben Carrington
There’s never been a time when Ben hasn’t been designing, building or engineering something.
As a kid it was a never-ending range of gadgets and tree huts but now it’s stunningly-designed homes that make their owners happy.
While his farm-boy background instilled plenty of practical, problem-solving ingenuity, his time working in a London firm after completing study in New Zealand taught him impeccable design detail is just as important on a family home as it is on grand buildings.
He knows that clever design and follow through on the job are vital, but that the importance of client communication is essential when weaving through the complex regulatory environment existing in this ever-changing world.
Ben has been entrenched in the Hawke’s Bay architectural and building design scene for many years, initially sharing his talents with others before establishing Carrington Architecture about five years ago.
He’s a smart thinker and has enough experience to help you build dreams.
Sammy Chalangar
Sammy is the three-for-one deal. Architectural engineering, interior and landscape design and CAD, are all part of her bag of tricks.
Nathan Musson-Body
Nathan comes from the construction industry, With an eye for detailing and CAD modelling he will bring your design to life.
Design skills, coupled with expertise in building information modelling, complete an impressive portfolio and enable her to make a significant contribution to all stages of our architectural projects.
Sammy has published on sustainable design, assessing traditional and modern architecture and its impacts on the environment.
Whether working on new builds or renovations, her work is thorough. Fastidious attention to detail when turning ideas and concepts into working drawings for building consent approvals is second nature and her understanding of compliance requirements supports this aspect of your project.
Sammy holds a Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Design qualification and a Master of Business Administration.
With practical experience in the construction industry as a qualified Aluminium Joinery installer he has now moved to Architectural Design after completing his Diploma in Architectural Technology at EIT.
Nathan uses the latest Archicad software to 3D model your design, he understands how buildings go together at an early stage which allows any structural challenges to be identified during preliminary design. He then works with clients to produce a clean developed set of working drawings ready for consent and tendering.
With his 3D modelling skills Nathan can produce quality architectural images of your design allowing you to see what your finished build will look like before construction starts.
